World SX Champions crowned after round 3 in Brisbane, Australia
Following the Australian round of the FIM World Supercross Championship at Cbus Super Stadium in Queensland on 29 November 2025, the series moved onto Sweden and South Africa.
Two new World Champions were crowned at the final round in Cape Town, South Africa on 13 December. American Jason Anderson claimed the SX1 World Championship, while Great Britain’s Max Anstie secured the SX2 title after a dominant campaign.
aMERICAN JASON ANDERSON WINS WORLD SX1 CHAMPIONSHIP
Anderson sealed the SX1 crown with 171 points, built on consistent podium finishes and multiple late-season victories. He finished just five points clear of fellow American Joey Savatgy in a closely contested title fight.
Christian Craig completed the championship podium in third overall, boosted by a strong performance at round three in Queensland, Australia, where he collected a significant points haul.
Former World Champion Ken Roczen (Germany) was a standout in the early rounds, including a clean sweep at the opening round in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 8 November, followed by a second overall victory in Queensland. However, limited participation across the season restricted his final points tally despite race-winning pace.
American SX1 wildcards Eli Tomac and Haiden Deegan finished fourth and sixth respectively at the Queensland round but ended the season outside the top ten in the overall World Championship standings.

GREAT BRITAIN'S MAX ANSTIE WINS IN BRISBANE BEFORE CLINCHING WORLD SX2 TITLE IN SOUTH AFRICA
Max Anstie delivered a commanding performance throughout the 2025 FIM World SX2 Championship, clinching the title with 215 points, his second World title. He swept the opening four rounds in Buenos Aires, Vancouver, the Gold Coast and Stockholm, before finishing third in the Cape Town finale to secure the championship.
Anstie was flawless at the Cbus Super Stadium in Queensland, extending his moto win streak to nine and amassing maximum points early in the season.
Defending champion Shane McElrath kept the title fight alive until the final round, winning round five to finish second overall, 39 points behind Anstie. Coty Schock completed the SX2 podium, a further nine points back in third.
